PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Is Stouthearted a digital or face-to-face program?

Both. Stouthearted is designed to be a video led in person group program. The core content is delivered digitally through our online platform, but the sessions are ideally experienced together in person. However, the program can be run individually at one’s own speed with nobody else involved and it can be run as a group over zoom. Running Stouthearted in-person (face-to-face) is recommended.

How long is the Stouthearted program?

The Stouthearted program is usually run as 8 sessions. For example, weekly for 8 weeks. Each session includes a video teaching, group discussion time, and reflection exercises during the week (plus optional extra bonus content). It can also be run as a weekend or as a self-paced individual program with 8 “modules”.

Is this a one-time program, or can it be repeated?

While the core program is 8 sessions, many groups find value in revisiting it or using it as a launching pad for ongoing men’s ministry or accountability groups. Most people only complete Stouthearted once but those who repeat the program find it beneficial on even deeper levels. It todays hypersexual world revisiting the content is of great value to everyman,

LEADERSHIP & FACILITATION

Does a Stouthearted presenter come and facilitate my group each week?

No, Stouthearted is built to be self-led. You or your group leader will have everything you need to guide your group through the program, including videos, facilitator guides, and session outlines.

Do I need to be completely free of sexual struggles to lead a Stouthearted group?

No. Stouthearted recognizes that we are all on a journey. Leaders are not expected to be perfect, but they should be committed to personal growth and integrity. If leading through a church, we recommend speaking with your pastor, priest, or minister, to ensure their support or at least to make them aware you are running the program.

What kind of person should lead a Stouthearted group?

We think anyone can coordinate running the program because the material “leads” the men not the coordinator/facilitator. It helps if the facilitator is passionate about helping men grow in sexual integrity. Anyone can run Stouthearted but groups benefit if the coordinator is emotionally mature, dependable, and can speak honestly in front of the group. Theological, ministry, or pastoral training is not required.

COSTS & ACCESS

How do the men in my group pay to participate in the Stouthearted program?

There is a one-time fee to purchase the Stouthearted group package. This is based on the size of the group or community/church using the program. Once purchased, how that cost is covered is up to the group or church. Some leaders or churches pay upfront, others ask participants to contribute, and some simply suggest a donation. At about $5 per session per person, the program is affordable.

Do participants need to register on the Stouthearted website?

No. Only the group leader needs to register and purchase the program. They will receive access to all materials and can share the videos and discussion points during in-person meetings. Leaders also receive a QR code / URL that they will share with the men in their group. The participating men will sign up through this QR code / URL to ensure they are receiving the same daily email reflection content as the rest of their group.

PROGRAM FORMATS

What are the different ways I can run the Stouthearted program?

  1. 8-Week Group Journey
  2. Weekend Intensive (2-day, 3-day program or 1-day “Stouthearted Experience”)
  3. Individual Self-Led Program

8-WEEK GROUP JOURNEY

What is the 8-week group version of Stouthearted?

This is the most recommended format. Men gather once a week for 8 sessions, watch videos together, and engage in guided discussion. This format allows for relationships to form, trust to be built, and transformation to take root over time. It’s highly effective and leaves long-term impact on men, marriages and communities.

Why is the 8-week version most recommended?

Because change doesn’t happen overnight. The weekly rhythm allows men to process, reflect, and return to the group with insights and growth. It also fosters ongoing accountability and community, which are critical in healing from sexual struggles and developing character.

WEEKEND INTENSIVE

What is the Stouthearted Weekend Intensive?

The Weekend Intensive condenses the core content of the 8-week program into a two-day or three-day retreat. It’s a powerful format for churches or ministries looking to kickstart men's ministry or reach men who can't commit to a weekly group. It’s intense, focused, and deeply moving—but ideally followed by ongoing reflection, connection and accountability. After the weekend, the men will receive daily emails to help support them on the journey of growth for the following seven weeks.

What is the one-day Stouthearted Experience?

The one-day Stouthearted Experience is for groups that can only manage to provide a single day event. It is a great experience full of insights and ends with a special night session. It contains half of the weekend content and can inform and transform men. The encouragement, following the experience, would be for interested men to go on and complete the whole program. The complete program offers significantly more discipleship and growth opportunities.

SELF-LED VERSION

Can I go through Stouthearted on my own, online?

Yes, self-led access is available. The videos are accompanied with activities and optional daily reflections. The self-led program gives men the opportunity to do the program from home and at their own pace. The recommended pace would take 50 days but it can be done quicker or slower.

We recognise that often deep transformation comes through honest conversations, shared struggles, and mutual support. The videos are styled to include everyday sharing from other men that men relate to and reduces any feelings of being alone. However, if the self-led version is the option you chose, consider finding one or two other men, or a counsellor/mentor, to journey with you in person.

Why is doing Stouthearted as a group more recommended?

Isolation is often a major part of the struggle men face. Healing often happens in the context of connection and community. Watching alone might inform your mind but often healing and freedom comes with relationships with other men who are also committed to growth.
Nothing beats face-to-face brotherhood, and we think better results come from doing the program as a group. Perhaps you could invite other men to complete the group program of Stouthearted with you?
